10 Best Probiotics For Men For Digestive Health And Immunity

Probiotics are vital for both men and women as they play a significant role in boosting digestive and overall health. They can be found in a variety of foods, but many individuals still prefer taking probiotic supplements.

When it comes to men’s health, probiotics can be taken to further strengthen immunity and digestive function. Since a variety of probiotics is available, we have collated a list of the best probiotics. These probiotics not only boost digestive function and immunity but also improve overall health.

Why You Should Trust Us

These probiotics for men stand out from the rest as they are recommended by doctors all over the world. They are typically manufactured to boost the immune and digestive system, consequently improving an individual’s overall health.

In addition, these high potency probiotics aid in easing stomach aches and tend to improve gut health. These probiotics are a go-to for many due to their effectiveness. Therefore, before purchasing one, check this list and buy a probiotic included here for optimal health.

1. Vitamin Bounty

Our first pick from the best probiotic for men is from Vitamin Bounty. With over 50 billion cultures and 13 probiotic strains, men can expect amazing benefits including easing digestion, boosting immunity, and improving gut health.

The other notable feature of these particular capsules is that all of the organisms are trapped within the supplement for a longer than usual time. This delayed release of the probiotics is nice because it ensures they don’t get released into your stomach acid as most other supplements do. It ensures that you are getting the maximum benefit every time.

        4. Smarter Nutrition

Looking for great nutrition in the best probiotics for men? Smarter Nutrition has you covered. They boast 10 billion cultures along with 3 strains of probiotics. And while those numbers are lower in comparison to other probiotics I’ve mentioned thus far, they do have several unique qualities to them.

First, the probiotics are entirely soil-based. What this means is that the good bacteria were picked up during the time where plants were put into the soil but before any chemical detergents or preservatives were placed onto them. As such, you can expect it to be sugar-free, gluten, and dairy-free too.

Beyond that, the shells of the capsules are vegetable-based to help with shelf-life and absorption as well as containing prebiotics. All of these things contribute to a stronger and healthier gut.

          5. Wholesome Wellness

For those looking to get the rawest value for their money, consider the Wholesome Wellness brand. Their RAW Probiotics product line boasts some large numbers and benefits.

From the start, the company states that a capsule contains 100 billion cultures along with 34 strains. These kinds of numbers are quite rare to find with only a few selling probiotics that are at that level or higher.

The amount of nutrients in these is insane, but if you’re looking for better gut and heart health, this is one you don’t want to be passing up.

            6. Nature’s Base

They provide a blend of probiotics and prebiotics that will boost your immune system, curb inflammation, and improve gut health overall. It boasts 70 billion cultures along with 10 strains that have been scientifically proven.

A single pill is all you need thanks to the company’s delayed release technology allowing it to stay inside you and support you throughout the day. And for those wondering where the prebiotics is, they take the form of fiber supplements as additional support.

              7. Nutrition Essentials

Wholesome Wellness provides an excessive amount of probiotics and cultures in their product. But this one takes the cake by a long shot. This company touts a total of 900 billion cultures that can be absorbed into your body with relative ease.

While the company has only one strain, they do make up for it by providing one of the highest quality of probiotics that you can find on the market. They also have in place a full refund policy so if you are skeptical about these probiotics performance, you can get your money back with no risk on your part.

                8. Florastor

For something on the tamer side with digestive health and a better lifestyle, consider Florastor. Each of their capsules provides 250mg of their unique probiotic strain. This strain in particular is larger and stronger than most other probiotic strains you’ll find in other probiotics.

All of this is similar to Nutrition Essentials’ in that there is only one strain, but a really good one. That said, there isn’t an indication of how many cultures are in the capsules.

                  9. Dr. Tobias

For a capsule that provides deep immunity, one option is Dr. Tobias. Their probiotics are made specifically with prebiotics as well to provide great gut health and immune support. Though, there is a bit of risk associated with them in that regard.

                    Advertising

Because there is more prebiotics in these capsules compared to others, your stomach may be irritated. You may have to have this while you are eating food or afterward. Beyond that, Dr. Tobias capsules contain 4.4 billion cultures along with the aforementioned prebiotics, which is solid for our list.

                    10. Align Probiotics

The final product in this list of the best probiotics for men is the Align Probiotics product line. This company pushes the idea that there is more to probiotics than the number of cultures that are contained in each capsule. And I’d say they present a great argument when you look at their product.

While there is only one strain, this strain has been backed by 20 years worth of research and testing. This strain provides immense value to the point that this has been the number one recommended probiotic by gastroenterologists for the past 12 years in a row. It has a fair bit of history and has worked well in providing people improved gut health and 24/7 digestive support.

                      Final Thoughts

There is no end to the number of probiotics for men on the market, so you have plenty of options to consider. If this is your first time trying these out, I’d recommend any of these from this list and to try them out. All of our bodies are different so we’ll react differently to the probiotics that we’re putting into our bodies.

Pay attention to that fact when you’re trying them out. The fortunate thing is these companies do provide full refunds so there is little risk on your part if you find some probiotics don’t work well with you.

7 Simple Rules to Live by to Get in Shape in Two Weeks

Learning how to get in shape and set goals is important if you’re looking to live a healthier lifestyle and get closer to your goal weight. While this does require changes to your daily routine, you’ll find that you are able to look and feel better in only two weeks.

Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to get in shape. Although anyone can cover the basics (eat right and exercise), there are some things that I could only learn through trial and error. Let’s cover some of the most important points for how to get in shape in two weeks.

                      1. Exercise Daily

It is far easier to make exercise a habit if it is a daily one. If you aren’t exercising at all, I recommend starting by exercising a half hour every day. When you only exercise a couple times per week, it is much easier to turn one day off into three days off, a week off, or a month off.

If you are already used to exercising, switching to three or four times a week to fit your schedule may be preferable, but it is a lot harder to maintain a workout program you don’t do every day.

Be careful to not repeat the same exercise routine each day. If you do an intense ab workout one day, try switching it up to general cardio the next. You can also squeeze in a day of light walking to break up the intensity.

If you’re a morning person, check out these morning exercises that will start your day off right.

                      2. Duration Doesn’t Substitute for Intensity

Once you get into the habit of regular exercise, where do you go if you still aren’t reaching your goals? Most people will solve the problem by exercising for longer periods of time, turning forty-minute workouts into two hour stretches. Not only does this drain your time, but it doesn’t work particularly well.

One study shows that “exercising for a whole hour instead of a half does not provide any additional loss in either body weight or fat”[1].

This is great news for both your schedule and your levels of motivation. You’ll likely find it much easier to exercise for 30 minutes a day instead of an hour. In those 30 minutes, do your best to up the intensity to your appropriate edge to get the most out of the time.

                      3. Acknowledge Your Limits

Many people get frustrated when they plateau in their weight loss or muscle gaining goals as they’re learning how to get in shape. Everyone has an equilibrium and genetic set point where their body wants to remain. This doesn’t mean that you can’t achieve your fitness goals, but don’t be too hard on yourself if you are struggling to lose weight or put on muscle.

                      Advertising

Acknowledging a set point doesn’t mean giving up, but it does mean realizing the obstacles you face.

Expect to hit a plateau in your own fitness results[2]. When you expect a plateau, you can manage around it so you can continue your progress at a more realistic rate. When expectations meet reality, you can avoid dietary crashes.

                      4. Eat Healthy, Not Just Food That Looks Healthy

Know what you eat. Don’t fuss over minutia like whether you’re getting enough Omega 3’s or tryptophan, but be aware of the big things. Look at the foods you eat regularly and figure out whether they are healthy or not. Don’t get fooled by the deceptively healthy snacks just pretending to be good for you.

                      The basic nutritional advice includes:

                      • Eat unprocessed foods
                      • Eat more veggies
                      • Use meat as a side dish, not a main course
                      • Eat whole grains, not refined grains[3]

                      Advertising

Eat whole grains when you want to learn how to get in shape.

                        5. Watch Out for Travel

Don’t let a four-day holiday interfere with your attempts when you’re learning how to get in shape. I don’t mean that you need to follow your diet and exercise plan without any excursion, but when you are in the first few weeks, still forming habits, be careful that a week long break doesn’t terminate your progress.

This is also true of schedule changes that leave you suddenly busy or make it difficult to exercise. Have a backup plan so you can be consistent, at least for the first month when you are forming habits.

If travel is on your schedule and can’t be avoided, make an exercise plan before you go[4], and make sure to pack exercise clothes and an exercise mat as motivation to keep you on track.

                        6. Start Slow

Ever start an exercise plan by running ten miles and then puking your guts out? Maybe you aren’t that extreme, but burnout is common early on when learning how to get in shape. You have a lifetime to be healthy, so don’t try to go from couch potato to athletic superstar in a week.

If you are starting a running regime, for example, run less than you can to start. Starting strength training? Work with less weight than you could theoretically lift. Increasing intensity and pushing yourself can come later when your body becomes comfortable with regular exercise.

                        Advertising

                        7. Be Careful When Choosing a Workout Partner

Should you have a workout partner? That depends. Workout partners can help you stay motivated and make exercising more fun. But they can also stop you from reaching your goals.

My suggestion would be to have a workout partner, but when you start to plateau (either in physical ability, weight loss/gain, or overall health) and you haven’t reached your goals, consider mixing things up a bit.

If you plateau, you may need to make changes to continue improving. In this case it’s important to talk to your workout partner about the changes you want to make, and if they don’t seem motivated to continue, offer a thirty day break where you both try different activities.

I notice that guys working out together tend to match strength after a brief adjustment phase. Even if both are trying to improve, something seems to stall improvement once they reach a certain point. I found that I was able to lift as much as 30-50% more after taking a short break from my regular workout partner.

                        Final Thoughts

Learning how to get in shape in as little as two weeks sounds daunting, but if you’re motivated and have the time and energy to devote to it, it’s certainly possible.

Find an exercise routine that works for you, eat healthy, drink lots of water, and watch as the transformation begins.
