Here’s The Scientific Secret To Falling in Love

Is it possible that in 45 minutes, two strangers can form an intimate relationship? Possibly even fall in love? One scientist decided to experiment with this idea and tested out a bold thought – take two strangers, give them instructions, and see if they can foster intimacy.

Dr. Arthur Aron set up experiments where he paired study subjects together and gave them questions to ask each other. The questions were in three sets totaling 36. The questions became increasingly intimate toward the end, the idea being that the more vulnerable you feel, the closer you become.

Did it work? Well, it was reported that two subjects actually did get married. After reviewing the findings, it does seem that these questions do tend to create a closeness between the partners.

So, in a time where there are dating sites, apps, and gatherings, could finding your perfect love really be as simple as 36 questions and about 45 minutes of time? Life would be simpler wouldn’t it? No more stressful online dating profiles, or ambiguous first dates. Instead, just 36 questions and you would know your answer- love them or leave them.
