Do you ever find yourself dwelling on the past? You start to think about the decisions that you regret, and you wish that you could go back in time to change the past.

If you can relate to this, it means that you are living a life with regrets. No-one should live this way. Life is short and meaningless, and your main goal should be to find your own personal idea of happiness.

However, regret is often linked to a negative mindset. You can choose to think “I regret the past”, or you can choose to think “the choices I make today will affect the regrets I have in ten years”. Today you can make the choice to drop the negative mindset so that you can be happier and more positive.

Today you need to stop waiting to be picked.

Stop waiting for other people to pick your work over others. Stop waiting for your boss to offer you a promotion. Stop waiting for life to make decisions for you, and start making decisions yourself.

In today’s society it is easier than ever to be completely responsible for yourself. It is easier for you to change careers, it is easier for you to stand up for your beliefs, and it is easier for you to make a positive change. Whatever you decide to do, there are resources and people to help you.

Take responsibility for your own life and decisions. Think about your future and your needs, instead of hoping that someone else will.
