How to make the Hipster nano PDA
Christopher Penn shows a neat way to make a Hipster PDA – nano version.
The nano version consists of stacking and stapling a stack of business cards. It is a pretty good idea to reuse those business cards, once you have scanned them into your PC.
We all know and love the Hipster PDA, but sometimes you want something a little smaller and more discreet. Enter the Hipster nano!
If you’ve been to a trade show, you know you walk out with dozens, if not hundreds of business cards. Scan them in using your business card scanner. Now you have a pile of cards, right?

Or, of course, you can use a tiny notebook and you then have no staples in your back pocket.

I have a 6-inch stack of old business cards collected from a prior company / different industry, and all of the information has been digitized.
I use one every day to jot down the to-do list for that day. Honestly, if your to-do list for a day won’t fit on a business card, it’s WAY too long.

I bought a mini address book at the dollar store because it came in a business-card size case. Threw out the book part and put my business cards in it.
Then I added a mini-pen and some junk cards to make an awesome hPDA. *Each* card can capture a thought or two until I get back to the office and can organize them.
