Vicki Morris is a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach and Founder of Heart Centered Living, who helps busy professionals overcome stress and exhaustion by adopting a more heart-centered and balanced lifestyle so they can be happy and well, while still working demanding jobs. Some tidbits about me: I love anything on PBS, Zen swimming (swimming with a mantra), and yummy meals with my hubby (whether we cook together and eat at home or dine out, the meals have to be “yummy” and “healthy” so it’s no wonder my nickname is “Picky Vicki”). My wellness journey: I started Heart Centered Living because I know how hard it can be to embrace a balanced and healthy lifestyle while working a stressful job. For many years, I worked 70 hours/week as a High-Tech Executive. At the time, I didn’t think I had time for self-care and healthy living. But my chronic stress and exhaustion led to prediabetes and systemic inflammation (which I found out could develop into major diseases such as Alzheimer’s and that REALLY scared me because I’ve lost many family members including my Dad to it). I did some SERIOUS experimentation to come up with a wellness plan that I could do and still keep my job. Initially, I tried did a strict anti-candida, no-sugar diet, but soon lost my willpower after 10 weeks and my lab tests didn’t improve despite the deprivation! That’s when I discovered the importance of taking a holistic (mind, body and soul) approach to wellness. My holistic wellness motto now is: “True wellness come from within and is built upon heart centered living.” With a more balanced lifestyle and wellness plan that I could fit into my schedule, I was able to recover my health (clean lab tests, yeah!) and overall well-being. I also lost 2 inches of belly fat and look and feel better than ever. I was so excited about what I learned that I became a Certified Wellness Coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and created Heart Centered Living to help others experience balance and radiant wellness by adopting daily mind, body and soul practices and living heart centered. During my wellness coach training, I was excited to find out that my wellness plan was 100% aligned with the latest science-based anti-inflammatory lifestyle that recommends sleep, stress reduction, healthy nutrition, connection (to others and Source) and exercise. Using my head and my heart, I've taken everything I learned and pulled it together into the most effective, science-based holistic wellness methods and skinnied them down into doable, byte-sized morsels and then created guided online programs that even busy professionals can fit into their schedule starting with a simple 3-day weekend Reset. It’s easier to adopt a radiant wellness lifestyle than it is to recover your health. Believe me. I wish I knew years ago that I could take 9 weeks while still working to upgrade my lifestyle rather than taking 21 months to figure out a wellness plan through trial and error to recover my health. That’s why I will be sharing with you tips to help you bring more balance into your daily routine so you can be radiantly well from the inside out, too.
