When I was about 16 I decided that I wanted to become an attorney. So, I went to law school and I was ultra determined to get good grades and pass the bar exam asap. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how to be efficient with my time. I had no structure and lacked the ability to prioritize. As a result, I had to study about 3 times as much as my friends and still got worse grades. You can imagine how frustrating that was… For a really long time I was always busy (people were worried that I’d suffer from a burn out on a regular basis) but rarely productive. And because I didn’t really have any good time management in place, I’ve quickly been known as a workaholic… And boy, did I take pride in that! I honestly thought that you needed to hustle hard to achieve anything in life. So, I was proud to be working non-stop! It was only when I started my first blog (it’s a dog blog called Dogpackr.com) on the side of my day job as a lawyer that I realized something had to change. I knew I had to uplevel my productivity because it’s impossible to work long hours, have a side business and still actually have a social life. Plus, I needed to have a plan, a vision for where I was going. And then I needed systems and processes to be able to focus on the tasks that really move the needle instead of drowning in all the noise and busy work. So, that’s what I did. I developed systems, tested productivity hacks, tried different routines and finally developed a structured approach to get more done in less time so that I can actually enjoy my life. Once I managed to automate the majority or this blog, I started my second business as a Productivity and Lifestyle Design Coach at Habitsinprogress.com. I'm now running 2 businesses while still working 80% in my day job, all of that in about 40 hours per week. My passion is helping entrepreneurs and top-level professionals achieve similar results. My program specifically helps to decrease stress and overwhelm while increasing efficiency and productivity. As a result, my clients have better time management and can enjoy the work-life balance and the freedom they’ve always been dreaming of. Here are just 2 examples: One of my clients came to me with about 60,000 emails in her inbox! She was completely overwhelmed and spent countless hours in her inbox without actually getting anything done. After working together, we got her inbox to zero in less than 2 hours! Plus, we set up a simple email management system that allows her to stay on top of her inbox with minimal time invested. Another of my clients was completely overwhelmed by trying to build a social media side business next to her full-time job. She hardly ever worked on it at all because there were so many things she should get done and she didn’t know where to start. After working together, she now has a clear vision and clear goals that she’s working towards. We set up a task management and time management system that she can follow on a daily basis.
