One of the biggest challenges of a job hunter is to decide what to wear to that long awaited interview. For many generations, the 3 piece suit has been the norm for interviews, but in recent years going casual has become the standard in many work places so it follows in job interviews. Since then, the 3 piece suit has been kept in a drawer seldom touched. For many sectors of our society, it’s now only worn during formal affairs.

So… what to wear during interviews? Here are the details of what our team has found out. For guys, you can never go wrong with a 2 piece suit. Just make sure you go for conservative colors — navy or dark grey. For ladies, these are the items you should never wear: mini skirts, large jewelry pieces, a tote bag, among others.

For both sexes, proper grooming should be observed. It means you can’t go to an interview with dirty finger nails. Another important detail to convey is to dress up for the interview. This will show the interviewer you value the opportunity being offered. Just don’t overdo it ’cause experts strongly warns you not to. Source: Column Five Media. Published by Rasmussen College.
