It makes sense that certain careers would allow for a more even balance between work and life, but recently the career website Glassdoor conducted a study to find the careers where employees experience the best work-life balance. They asked people about the amount of fun they have at work, how much they enjoy working with their coworkers, how easily they are able to take off work when they need time away from the office, and how happy they are with their jobs overall. Employees responded with a number on a scale from 1 to 5, one meaning very dissatisfied and five meaning very satisfied. These numbers were then averaged to determine the best careers for work-life balance. Employees who report a good work-life balance are generally more satisfied with their careers and avoid feeling burnt out, so companies should pay attention to these numbers!
