Which industries are making the most millionaires today? A recent explosion of millionaires is underway, according to wealth consulting company Wealth Insight, with thousands more expected to earn the status in countries worldwide from China to the United Kingdom. Some the industries responsible for this growth in wealth are predictable, like the forever-expanding tech industry.
A particularly positive trend is that the number of female millionaires is increasing — though not always in the same fields. Many women are making their riches in newer or non-physical industries, such as media, fashion, and luxury goods, while more male millionaires exist in the tech, financial, and manufacturing fields. Perhaps surprisingly, the traditionally male-dominated tech and financial industries are seeing a recent increase (thought only a slight one) in female millionaires.
