Somewhere in the depths of my house, I have an emerald ring stored away in my jewellery box that means more to me than all my other belongings put together. Jewellery’s strange like that; there are few other inanimate objects I can think of that can contain such sentiment and importance. This is why Raven and Lily’s ‘Bullets To Beads’ is so wonderful. It takes 10 women, 42 bullets and 14 hours for a single bullet-beaded necklace to be created, but the symbolism is timeless.
Raven and Lily aim to employ women worldwide and pay them fair wages, provide safety, healthcare and education.
