Fantastic food blogger Cheri Alberts of The Watering Mouth has created a video that shows us how to make the wonderfully yummy-looking Toasted Marshmallow Shot Glasses.

Cheri writes: “It is a really finicky thing to make, but when you get it right, it is so so super cool. It would be a hit at any party, even if it doesn’t quite work all the time. Just the toasting of the marshmallows over an open flame, or in my case, a red hot electric burner, lol, is entertaining. But then getting to shoot liqueur from the marshmallow…yeah. Next level.”

The trick to creating toasted marshmallow shot glasses is to heat the sides and base of the marshmallows just enough to cause the insides to implode, creating an edible shot glass!

Cheri also suggests you toast each side of the marshmallow to avoid any leakage from thinner sides. That would be a pretty messy way to do shots. Perhaps her most important suggestion is to keep a fire extinguisher handy! For the full recipe check out Cheri’s post!
