Having a hard time functioning? Are you prone to eating snacks uncontrollably throughout the day?

It could be due to lack of sleep.

Sleep is essential for a healthy lifestyle. Without ample time for our bodies to regenerate, mistakes happen in the form of errors at work and lack of alertness. Furthermore, not getting adequate amounts of sleep over a long period of time can lead to serious health problems.

A weak immune system and heart disease has been linked to lack of sleep.

If you’re having a difficult time falling asleep at night, there are several things you can do in the day to increase your chances of getting a full sleep cycle.

Such sleep-inducing activities include avoiding caffeine, reading a book and taking a hot shower before going to bed. Exercising can also help you sleep, as long as it’s not done 2 hours before your bed time.
