Here’s The Reason You Are Unusually Drawn To Spicy Food

Not sure why you like spicy food? If you have a natural liking towards food that makes your mouth burn, chances are some where in your family tree, spicy food was highly favored.

Foods such as hot sauce and chili actually triggers pain receptors in our brain, causing us to feel uncomfortable and agitated when eating spicy dishes. Does this mean spicy eaters have high pain tolerance or like pain in general? Probably not. Spicy food strikes our deep, inner emotions and also brings dull dishes to life.

For individuals who can’t tolerate the rush of eating something tingly and hot, it is best to have a cup of milk ready with every bite. Soda, acidic juices and water can make the feeling increasingly worse, making the entire experience almost unbearable.

What’s your favorite spicy food? Let us know what you think.
