Traveling can be both fun and confusing. Basic customary practices that you grew up embracing may not always apply in the countries you are traveling to. In some cases, what can be respectful for some, is considered to be rude for others.
In order to establish rapport quickly, you must know how to observe local customs as a traveler. It’s easy to get caught up in your own world, but the moment you step off the plane, you’ll realize that the world that you’ve come to know is a lot bigger than you once thought. This can be both humbling and eye-opening.
Instead of brushing off other people’s local practices, keep an open mind. Try to observe them and see where it takes you. Who knows, your next destination could sweep you off your feet, causing you to stay there forever.
