Dieting, for some people, is a crapshoot that may not return the desired results.
Excluding valid medical conditions, the information presented here debunks a few of the common myths centered on dieting. For example, cutting carbohydrates by themselves is not the answer to slimming your waist. It may seem obvious, but calories are what dieters should be focused on. In fact, foods that are high in fiber (which can include carb-rich foods) may even suppress appetites!
Another common myth that is gaining more traction in literature is that fats make us, well… fat. Some outlets like this one are pointing out that this is not necessarily the case. Cutting calories at the expense of fats can increase the consumption of more unhealthy food.
