If you’re ever without light in an emergency situation and just happen to have a can of tuna, thread, matches and a knife (or other sharp tool), you’re in luck. Not because you’ll have something to eat, but because you’ll be able to make an emergency oil lamp using a can of tuna. As you’ll see in the video, all you have to do is stick the thread into the tuna and light it.

Many people do carry a flashlight with them, but flashlights are not always reliable. More than likely you’re not going to have a can of tuna stashed in your car or somewhere else (besides your house) where you may need an emergency light. However, after seeing this video and how easy it is to make an oil lamp out of a can of tuna, you may decide to get some just in case.

What do you think? Will you now go stock up on tuna, thread and matches in case of an emergency?
