Evolution is an incredibly slow process, so it’s hard for us to see where a species — including our own — is headed on its evolutionary path.
However, thanks to research on our own past and on the process of evolution in general, scientists have developed several ideas of how humans are likely to evolve over the millennia. Advancements in technology, globalization, and the likelihood that we will continue to explore (and even live in) distant planets will all contribute to changes in our bodily functions and the way we look.
