Isaac Garcia from Central Desktop mentions to me that they announced a free Event Wiki from their web service product. You can use this free service to coordinate parties, conferences, or even local movie nights. Best of all, it is not an ordinary wiki, but it has extra bit of features like registration forms, database functionality, permissions and calenders etc. Here how you can get one:
What Do I Need To Do To Get My Free Event Wiki?
1. Register for Central Desktop
As the owner/administrator of the Wiki, you will need to create a Central Desktop Profile.
Don’t worry, we don’t sell or share your name with others.
2. Create a Public Workspace
3. Select the Event Wiki Template
4. Pick from one of the Style Templates
(You can always change and customize the CSS later if you want)Once you create the Event Wiki, send an email to support[at]centraldesktop-inc.com and let us know that you’d like to use Central Desktop for other events and we’ll reset your account to “free.” In the future, we’ll figure out a more formalized process for this, but for now just email us.
You must email us and let us know that you want to use Central Desktop for an Event, otherwise, your account will downgrade to limited use in 30 days.
Thanks Isaac for the service and news!
