Have you ever visited a city and thought that the locals looked either extremely happy or extremely sad? What about your own hometown? The U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research recently conducted a survey to determine which cities were the most and least happy. Those who partook in the research answered questions about their levels of satisfaction regarding their lives, and that data was adjusted for certain factors such as income and age. The happiest city in America is Lafayette, Louisiana, and five other cities in the state claimed spots in the top ten! New York City topped the list of least happy cities, followed by several cities throughout the Midwest.
