Valentine’s Day is almost upon us again (14th February, just in case you’ve forgotten). Although it’s supposed to be time of romance and love, it’s also a time of panic and last-minute/perfect gift buying frenzy. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a Valentine’s Day Gift cheat sheet!

In a survey of 1,000 people it was found that 18 – 25 year olds are, on average, two times more excited than 55 – 65 year olds. However, as age increases gifts are more desirable, with just 4.5% 18 – 24 wanting gifts compared to 12.2% of 65 and over. Young love, huh?

Regarding the types of gifts, 15% of men and 9% of women enjoy gifts they can share with their significant other. 39% of women would like a romantic presentation, as would 35% of men and only 20% of men and 19% of women would enjoy a surprise.

Of those surveyed, 57% of people would prefer to receive their gift at home, just 9% at work and 35% were happy with receiving their gift anywhere. They were also more eager to stay in on Valentine’s Day than go out for a meal.
