A Touching Video About Life–Made Entirely out of Yarn

Stories about life and death usually impact people in a tremendous way, and the one presented in this video doesn’t fail to deliver.

What is especially unique about the classic story presented here is that it is done using stop-motion technology. And, unlike most stop-motion videos, this one uses figures made entirely out of yarn.

I don’t mean to get all symbolic, but the use of yarn–something that can be unraveled and tangled so easily–is great in conveying the idea that life is fleeting (something that we all need to be reminded of from time to time).

Best of all, the touching scenes play out to a powerful musical score (let’s not forget that this is, first and foremost, a music video). I imagine that if you like the artist featured in this video, you’ll be impacted by the yarn-based scenes even more than those of us who are unfamiliar with his music.

Did this video cause you to become emotional? Did you enjoy the techniques used? Comment below!
