Ready to feel like you’ve been kicked in the gut? Is your faith in humanity at a safe level? Okay.
Why do you think people ignored the first man but rushed to help the second? Did the latter deserve help and compassion more than the first because he wore a suit? Does what we wear have such an impact on our humanity? Or perhaps the first man looked unapproachable, even dangerous and so passersby did not want to endanger themselves? I don’t know. If you’re really honest with yourself, would you help a stranger in need regardless of their appearance/?
