Personally, I’ve never had to memorise a speech because I don’t like to voluntarily partake in tasks I feel unlikely able to complete successfully. If you’re anything like me, memorising a speech sounds incredibly difficult to you! In fact, Princeton conducted a study which found that memorising verbatim (word for word) text is an extremely complex task for our brains.
