Old Man’s Shoes Are Locked As He Always Tries To Escape. What Happens Next Is Really Touching

Sometimes it feels like the world has abandoned you, but you are not ready to give up on life. You still have your dreams and hopes, no matter what your age or situation. Break Free is a touching ad created by Mortimer von Hochberg for Adidas. It’s about an old man, stuck in a nursing home, who dreams of regaining his freedom by running like he did when he was young. But, the nursing staff blocks his every escape attempt. What happens after they lock up his sneakers will warm your heart. Watch this touching video. It will leave you smiling.

In this video, an old man, a former athlete, is locked into a constrained existence in a nursing home. He longs to break free. His old training sneakers symbolize his youth and freedom in running. He attempts to regain that freedom and tries to make breaks for the doors, but the nurses stop him every time.

He trains, lifting weights and building his strength back, but again, the staff stops him. This time, they lock up his shoes.

Just as he is about to give up hope, the other nursing home residents appear. They’ve recovered his shoes and are there to cheer him on and hold the nurses at bay as he makes his final, and this time successful, sprint to freedom.

An old man, a pair of running shoes, and a powerful message: never give up on your dreams. Sometimes you may need the aid and support of others to help you along the way, and that is okay too. Just never give up.
