Teenagers are often visiting luxury car dealerships with their friends. They obviously have no ability or intention to buy a luxury car. It might seem frustrating for a professional who sells these expensive vehicles to deal with these juveniles on a daily basis, but not so! Jesse Park shared that although he’s been in the car selling business for 15 years, he’s not yet tired of the ambitious and fun loving teenagers that come to sit in his luxury cars.
Park says,
“The key word is fun – I grab their phone and instantly open up Snapchat or Instagram and take a photo of them in the vehicle.”
He knows that these kids are looking for an experience! They want just a taste of luxury and style. Just one bite of that forbidden fruit. And why not? Park remarks that, “these vehicles are just metal,” and they’re not harming anything with their enthusiasm. These kids are just dreaming. If you think about it, luxury car dealerships are the perfect place for dreamers. If someone wanted utility and function they would get a Honda; if someone wanted to live a dream they would sit in a super car with leather seats and complex and sophisticated consoles.
It’s be tempting to roll your eyes and dismiss these kids. It could be argued that they are interrupting business and distracting sales associates from “real” clients. But Jesse Park reminds us that that life would be a lot better if we all treated each other with respect – even rambunctious teenagers!
