  • Phase 4 Stay mentally healthy

Now, let’s get started with the essentials – natural remedies for better skin you shouldn’t miss!

Is it time to question your skin care routine?

Most of us buy skin care products such as shampoos, body lotion and body washes without a second thought. These items are probably part of your weekly grocery shop. But have you ever stopped to consider whether they are really doing your skin any favors? Although it might take a little more time and effort to make your own products, the health benefits mean that taking a DIY approach may well be worth it in the long run.

The downsides of commercial skin care products

Unfortunately, the manufacturers of the products you buy do not always have your skin’s best interests at heart. Did you know that many common ingredients found in everyday skin care products contain synthetic chemicals that can lead to chronic hormone disruption, infertility, and a decrease in your body’s natural ability to rid itself of toxins? Parabens, synthetic colors, artificial dyes and sodium lauryl sulfate are just three of the most common toxic ingredients that are absorbed into your body through your skin whenever you use most store-bought skin care products.

Argan oil is made by pressing the kernels of the argan fruit. The resulting oil is high in vitamins E and A together with omega-6 fatty acids. Research has shown that argan oil helps prevent sun-related skin damage including collagen breakdown [4]. It is also a good moisturizing agent and promotes all-round skin health.
