How do you see your weaknesses? Do you hate them a lot? Or do you embrace them with a positive mind?

This animated film “The Present”  tries to remind everyone that no one is perfect in this world. We’re all born to be imperfect in a certain way, no one should hate themselves or anyone for not being perfect. It is a touching story about how the little boy changes his attitude towards himself and and his life after receiving an unexpected present from his mom. It sounds like just another mother-and-son-relationship story, but it’s a lot more than that. It’s a 4-minute story about love, acceptance and life. The present changed the little boy’s life, I hope it’ll change yours too.

“The Present” is based on a great little comic strip by the very talented Fabio Coala. It is a graduation short from the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. It’s been run on over 180 film festivals and winning more than 50 awards.
