There’s more to working out than just pumping iron and getting those cuts in the muscle or doing cardio and losing weight. A lot of subtle changes happen in the body as a result of regular exercise.

Here are three ways in which regular exercise can enhance your life and make you look more attractive:

1. Reduction in Anxiety and Stress

It is a well documented fact that exercise helps reduce anxiety and stress levels in individuals and improves the mood instantly. Just see that you do exercises you like, for example, some people like cardio whereas others like strength training.[1]

Exercise indirectly helps you to shift your focus from things which are troubling you to the activity which you are doing. It helps to reduce the levels of  adrenaline and cortisol in the body which are released when we are under stress. Exercise also stimulates production of endorphins which primarily makes you happy and more attractive.

2. Boosts Sex Hormones

Improve your sex life by doing regular workout. Exercise has shown to improve human sex hormones, such as testosterone and HGH (human growth hormone).[2]

On an average, men who regularly exercised were found to have about 20 percent more testosterone and four times more HGH than other sedentary men.

3. Peaceful and Refreshing Sleep

If you want put insomnia to rest then exercise is one of the best ways to achieve it. When you have exercised during the day, the body tends to follow its natural rhythm of rest and recuperation during the night. Due to this rhythm, you are more likely to have a deep sleep and will feel more rested in the morning.[3]

Exercise also comes to your rescue when you are stressed out. Under stress, the body produces the hormone cortisol to help your muscle fight against the adversary, however if the adversary is your boss then all you can do is simmer and this lack of action signals the body to produce even more of cortisol. So at the end of the day your body has high quantities of cortisol present. Exercise helps to reduce the hormone cortisol and thereby helping you to have a peaceful sleep at night.
