“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else, is the greatest accomplishment.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

This is one of many quotes I love, that keep me motivated.

It’s not really a quote, more of a Murphy Law: “Smile, tomorrow will be worse”

This reminds me that I have to work hard each day and not indulge into optimism, but allow life to surpize me when something good happens. I may be a dark approach on daily living, but for me it works.

If I persist long enough I will win~Og Mandino

In the middle of a difficulty lies opportunity~Albert Eistein

Whenever I’m faced with difficulties and struggles, I always look at these two quotes. There are many others, actually, but these 2 are my prime weapons against discouragement.

When I was starting as a writer, and nobody was reading my articles, I would ponder upon these quotes here, and would remind myself–this is just a part of life, and a necessary phase that I must go through. I put in mind that I need to experience this in order to reach a higher level of growth as a person. That these tough times will surely enhance my character. Once I reach this particular level, and I persist long enough, I know I will have self fulfillment, and will have a more solid self confidence.

These 2 attributes, I realize, always come with the thought: despite the rough period I just went through, I emerged victorious. I came out stronger and tougher.

It is from one of my favorite speakers.

“When life knocks you down, try to land on your back because if you can look up you can get up.  – Les Brown”

The meaning of it is simple and straight to the point so I guess it doesn’t require any further explanation. ;-)

The famous quote: “Fall Down 7, Get Up 8.”

Also, “If you’ve hit rock bottom, the only way is up.”

& Finally Mine: “Every downfall is an opportunity to learn. Pick yourself up and use this knowledge to not fall again.”

“You must fall apart to understand what it means when you are whole.”

The human experience by nature is dichotomous. Our very existence is an exploration of polar opposite energies. Think about it.

Behind every shadow there is a light waiting to shine. We can’t have good without bad,  just like we can’t have light without darkness.

The reason this quote is helpful to me is because it reminds me that “life getting rough” is just part of what it means to be human. Negative emotions– negativity, in general, is part of the ride. It sucks, there’s no doubt in that, but, without the negative, we wouldn’t be able to have the positive, happy, and fun parts of the ride either. This quote reminds me to accept, and with that acceptance comes an inner peace, a reminder that ahh, yes, the shadow is just a part of the journey.

Life is like the weather. Storms come, but they always pass. Then the sun comes shining through again.

My favourite one of the past few years, and one that has certainly helped get me through dark patches in life:

“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” – Sir Winston Churchill.

This one is kind of long, but the very first part – “Do not let your fire go out” – is all I need to remember. It sticks with me.

“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists… it is real… it is possible… it’s yours.” ~ Ayn Rand

“Live life as if everything is rigged in your favor”

No matter what volcano I am in the middle of going through, if I live and think as if everything is going my way even though I may not see it, life becomes a curious adventure.

No matter what happens, if’s all really rigged in your favor.

Progress not perfection

As a quotes lover, one is never enough. I look to the following quotes for courage and hope to move forward.

“Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” – C.S. Lewis

“When you’re down to nothing, God is up to something.” – Unknown

“Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form.” ― Rumi

I’m somewhat of a quote connoisseur, so there are so many that come to mind. But for the sake of non-repetitiveness or overwhelming the reader, I think this is one of the most important I have ever read:

“The best way out is always through.” —Robert Frost

The quote that push me to move on is also the source for my positive thinking. I have no definite answer to who is the owner of the quote but I found it quoted under Ed Sheeran.

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, then it’s not the end.”
– Ed Sheeran

So whenever I’m feeling hopeless, I will think of this quote and remind myself that I’m fighting for the end. The end where everything will pay off, where everything will be okay.

Whenever life gets rough, I find time to get close to nature & experience its powerful bliss. It motivates me. I get up early & watch the night disappear into the Morning light. I focus my thoughts that there is surely a way to the problem & what all options do i have, i give time what can i do. The quote by Steve Jobs is what i love :

” Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drowned your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
