
No matter the project, staying motivated takes work. Almost always, at some stage, you will lose the motivational spark you had when you began. So how do we stay motivated?
A List Apart has a great article about staying motivated in creative projects. However, these tips can be associated with any activity.
Retreat, but don’t surrender
Never give up on projects or problems. Put them aside for a while, but always come back to solve them (even if it’s only developing a theory for solving them). Solving these problems will build your confidence, your knowledge, and (hopefully) your portfolio.

One thing that makes me lose motivation is distraction.
Sometimes, when we are doing something, something with a better offer will attract us and thus, we’ll abandon the project we are working on.
I agree that we need a resting period for our projects or problems. Facing it everyday without a break can surely change the way we work.
One thing that pulls me away or keeps me from being motivated is my changing of my mind so frequent!
some times it’s just best to do the review on self when ever i feel lack of motivation. so i double check my goals and once i start thinking and seeing them on paper it’s gets me going again!
Doing things continuously is simply stressful. And as far as motivation is concerned, being open to stress is a huge distraction in keeping motivated.
