Why bother? Switch to OS X!

As far as I’m concerned, Microsoft already stopped supporting XP. They want me to install this WGA update to verify my copy is legit. I refuse to do that so therefore I no longer receive updates. In my opinion, that is the equivalent of being no longer supported.

“Why bother? Switch to OS X!”
What’s the point? You still have to buy a new computer– a rather expensive new computer– to do that, unless there’s a way to install OSX on a PC.
Better advice in this situation would be to switch to some form of Linux. (I wish my printer had Linux drivers; Ubuntu was fun.)

Amanda, your last sentence pretty much negates what your point was. There may be faster, safer, snazzier looking, or even free OS’s out there, but most of the world runs on Windows and if you don’t then you are less compatible. (especially if your into gaming)
