
The next version of Microsoft’s productivity suite, Works 9.0, will be available free and ad-supported, according to Bink.nu
For the time being, however, the new version of Works will be ad-funded, according to Satya Nadella, the newly minted Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Search & Advertising Platform Group. Nadella told me during an interview on July 27 that Microsoft recently released the new ad-funded version of Microsoft Works.
No official news on this yet, neither anything on a hosted version of the software.

Will is suck as bad as all the previous versions and then lock you into its file format so you can’t even open your documents with a paid version of MSOffice?
I suppose ad supported is their attempt to compete with OpenOffice.
Just download OpenOffice, it actually does work unlike this falsely named crap of MS’s

Ditto to OpenOffice, don’t bother with a free ad-supported version of something that already exists which is truly free and far more better.
