Using your email address to get any kind of freebie or enter in a contest can lead to mountains of spam emails if you aren’t careful. Using a unique Gmail function, you can actually give people a false email address and still receive emails until you block the variation.

If your email account is “email@gmail.com” then you can enter “em.ail@gmail.com” and receive the information you desire. Then go into your settings and consider the second variation to be spam and you will not get anymore emails from them again!
