iPhone users around the world have been asking Google to bring Google Maps to iOS 6, and now Google Maps is back. Google has just released a native version Google Maps for iOS. The reincarnated version of Google Maps has been re-designed from the ground up and combines the accuracy and comprehensiveness of Google Maps with an user-friendly interface that makes it find the right place easier and faster.

New Features of Native Google Maps for iPhone:
- Loads faster and provides smooth rotating and tilting of 2D and 3D map views.
- An expandable info sheet at the bottom provides extra details of a location.
- Details of a location includes address, opening hours, ratings, reviews, images, street views and directions.
- More than 80 million businesses are included in the map.
- Get Voice-guidance and turn-by-turn navigation.
- Shows Live traffic conditions.
- Shows information of public transportation.
Download Google Maps on your iPhone here and experience it yourself. Perhaps, it is time for iPhone users to say goodbye to Apple Maps or if you still want some alternative mapping solutions there are still plenty to select.

Thanks to Apple’s maps, I have been taken to the wrong place twice. Once to the wrong house and another to some sketchy recycling building. Just recently I saw on the news that the Australian police has urged the public not to use Apple’s maps because people have gotten lost and died from it.
Thank god google maps being back!
google maps are the best arround. I Was taken to the wrong place Jason as well :-) But using android, maybe my fault or maybe just the same issue as with iOS
How is it a nightmare for Apple to have the best free maps properly available on their devices, and at the same time getting a cut of the sales, I was about to say. I guess the latter is not true when it’s free. Still.
