Deligio is a search engine that specifically searches freeware and shareware software. The site is pretty simple, just search for whatever you’d like the software to do, and Deligio returns a list of freeware and shareware applications that will do what you requested. At Listible, there is an extensive on open source (and freeware) programs in Windows. Some of them are well known, such as firefox - however I do not know some of them as well and they are pretty good to have. Just like any other list, it is constantly growing - so make sure you keep an eye on the list!
