Sugarsync takes a very different approach than the other cloud storage and back-up services. Instead of a unique sharing folder, you can use it to assign sharing characteristics (and backup) to your existing folder structure. A subtle difference from services like Dropbox, but significant.
It will not be for everyone, but it does make a lot of sense for a lot of us!
Steve Dotto takes you on a quick tour of Sugarsync. Let’s sync documents easily with Sugarsync!

So it is a bit like Adobe’s “Collections” features which is available in some of their imaging software.
The idea is that you can have 1 image saved onto numerous virtual folders.
For example – you may have a picture of a bird – you can save in into 3 collections (virtual folders) such as – “2012″, “Holiday in Kenya” and “Birds” – Although it takes only the “space” for 1 picture, it can be arranged into numerous virtual folders.
A pretty fun concept – but won’t be long before DropBox, Google Drive, etc implement it – not sure if they have those features already.
I am guessing the application should be available as an app on iOS and Android, as well as Windows and OSx.
Anyone interested in file backup and synchronization software should check out GoodSync by Siber Systems. Compatible with both Windows and Mac computers, it allows you to sync to most cloud storage services as well as any networked or internet connected computer/drive. I have tested numerous products and GoodSync seems to offer the widest range of features and best support.
