$50 Paint Job For Your Car
Not exactly the kind of thing we cover at Lifehack, but it’s fitting. Automobile painting usually budgets into the thousands, but this method does a decent job, with a little work, to do it under $50.
This personal account is a good indication of how well the $50 method works. It isn’t perfect, but is damn affordable. Any thoughts?

“The stripes were rattlecanned, no way the thinned rolled on paint wouldn’t have bled under the masking tape.”
what’s “rattlecanned”?

I would assume “rattlecanned” is off-the-shelf spray paint. You know how it rattles when you shake the can

Urban Dictionary says “rattlecan” means a spraypaint can. Hence the term “rattlecanned”.
I had no idea.

Rattlecan is a spray paint can. It is an older term used as a buzz-word. This is a great way to paint a car i’m going to do it to my Mustang

I respect anyone who attempts to fix up their car, regardless of how they do it.
I once BRUSHED on paint on an olde Datsun wagon. But I think before people tackle the $50 MIRACLE paint job, they do a little bit of holistic thinking. I’ve written an extended article about the, begging your pardon, “The $50 Paint Job Myth”– because there are many downsides to this method– you can apply a REAL automotive paint job to a car yourself for about the same amount of money, if you just do your homework–
