I would assume “rattlecanned” is off-the-shelf spray paint. You know how it rattles when you shake the can

Urban Dictionary says “rattlecan” means a spraypaint can. Hence the term “rattlecanned”.

Rattlecan is a spray paint can. It is an older term used as a buzz-word. This is a great way to paint a car i’m going to do it to my Mustang

I respect anyone who attempts to fix up their car, regardless of how they do it.
I once BRUSHED on paint on an olde Datsun wagon. But I think before people tackle the $50 MIRACLE paint job, they do a little bit of holistic thinking.
