Find clothes that fit and flatter your body

20070316-myshape.JPG

myShape.com is an online retail store that offers women (sorry, fellas) a chance to find clothing that “fits and flatters” their specific body type. myShape lets you enter a profile and a “body” type and myShape helps you find clothes that look good on your specific body type. The following is the description from the myShape.com press release:

Its patent-pending ShapeMatch™ system matches specific clothing to each woman’s specific measurements and preferences for a look that reflects her unique sense of style…Each of the letters in myShape (M, Y, S, H, A, P, E) represents one of seven overall body shapes.

Let us know, ladies, does this seem like a site for you?

Seems like a great idea. I don’t seem to fit their profiles though. There are at least 3 body types missing from their profile list from what I can see.

Kind of lame. Their outfits aren’t anything special (I think I can figure out whether or not I look good in a tee-shirt and capri pants, thank you, and giving the ensemble a cutesy name doesn’t make it any less, well, a tee shirt and capri pants). Also, the process to figure out what shape you are is arduous, requires signing up, and just reminds me that my body is iteslf pretty lame.
