Building stress at the workplace is often unavoidable. We can attribute the amount of stress related articles here at Lifehack to that. The Ririan Project has, what I think, is an excellent list of tips to help handle work-related stress.
Throw your head back and shout loudly.
Shout and screaming is a great way to let go of all that pent-up tension that causes stress. Rather than risk being carted off to the asylum by shouting in the streets, let off some steam cheering on your local sport team, or heading to a sports bar. The added social contact will help you unwind even quicker.

Taking some form of martial arts is a great way to relieve stress and a great way to get fit. You can limit it to 2 days per week, and a typical class is 45-60 minutes, so you can squeeze it in somewhere. Having an environment where hitting and yelling is allowed can be healthy!
I like the first one. I’ve tried doing it and it’s like bringing back those lost energy and motivation in our lives. It’s good in stimulating the mind.
[...] It’s true: Stress evaporates when you laugh. I find I can get at least a few good yuks from any given episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, which airs several dozen times daily. Great list. No matter how hard we try to avoid stress, there are still situations which will end up giving us stress. It’s better if we deal with it rather than ignore that we have it.
Doing Yoga, deep breathing exercise, helps relieve stress and depression. I have found it to be a great healer, not only the stress but other body ailments also.
Great article – well written and good content. I would like to make one important point about stress relief that often tends to be forgotten. Sometimes the core source of stress is our own beliefs and values. Our beliefs cause us stress and sometimes we even don´t even notice it. Our beliefs conflict with our behavior and cause us stress afterwards. Another way stress is caused by our beliefs is when there is a conflict with other peoples beliefs. The best thing to do is to accept that we all have some flaws and that different people have different backgrounds. Very often accepting ourselves and others equals stress relief.
Thank you and keep the good content coming
