Wordpress Tutorial
Webmonkey has a great tutorial for people interested in using Wordpress, one of the most popular blog software products out there. It starts with how to install the software, and then goes into how to create your own personal look and feel. It helps to demystify some of the PHP weirdness (for those who don’t use PHP in a given day, it’s a little daunting at first, especially when we feel so smart about HTML these days, right?).
Complete with great illustrations and step-by-step, author Tim Ziegler helps take some of the chill off your fear of mucking with this incredibly versatile and powerful blog writing software.

The easiest way to get started with WordPress is to go with a web hosting provider that can automatically install it for you. The web host that I use, DreamHost, does this and I’m fairly sure there are others that do as well (check with your hosting provider if you have one). One nice thing about setting it up yourself though is you learn a bit more about how it works.
