Tammy Lakatos Shames and Lyssie Lakatos at Discovery Channel has some very quick tips on helping you to lose weight easier. Those are healthy and sane tips, so experiment around to see what’s best for you. Here are some of the tips:
- Put down utensils after every mouthful.
- Partway through the meal stop and relax for 2-3 minutes
- Leave some food on your plate at each meal
- Eat a balanced breakfast (it’ll give you energy to get going and provide valuable nutrients that can’t be made up later in the day)
- Keep low fat, high fiber (filling) snacks handy (Carry along a banana, keep low-fat yogurt handy in the fridge)
- Plan to eat some meals alone (there is a tendency to overeat in social situations)
- Put your weight record where a friend can see it
- Eat a carefully balanced diet so that you are not deprived of a particular food element
- Wait 10 minutes before snacking. Between meal snacks are often impulsive and waiting may make you realize you aren’t hungry after all
- Eat off smaller plates
- Never skip a meal

Maybe I am a emotional mess today or your post just hit home. I have been that “fat girl” at work and in public. The success of my weightloss motivates me daily.

Eat more often! This will keep you from overeating and you will “feel” full quickly if you do this. It takes time to get into the habit, but you can do it if you put your mind to it.

Hi. The bit about a balanced breakfast is very true, i have a post about this topic on my blog. Some think skipping breakfast will help them loose weight, but it could have completey the opposite effect
