Web Services to Track Amazon’s Price for you
Yesterday we have covered the little trick on Amazon’s Price Drop Policy. In a comment, our reader Keith pointed out a site called “Amazon Credits You will check your purchases everyday and send you an email if the price has dropped. In the email will be a link right to the place where you claim your credit.” This service saves your trip to the product page everyday and check for any price drop. Here’s its introduction:
Amazon.com has a price guarantee policy to credit buyers back cash. If the product you purchased within the last 30 days has dropped in price they will credit you back the difference.
That’s great news!
The only problem is that you have to check and then notify them in order to get the credit.
We simplify the whole process.
After you make an Amazon purchase, drop by this site and enter it into our database. We do the rest. We’ll check everyday and send you an email if the price has dropped. In the email will be a link right to the place where you claim your credit.
Thanks Keith for the URL!

Amazon changes prices frequently, and very often the price is greatly reduced. Amazon Price Change Notification free service will monitor prices by your request (“Price Watch”). As soon as price change matches your conditions, APCN will alert you. Amazon Price Watch also will help you to get Amazon Refunds

The website described above is no longer online. Check out http://www.amazingrefund.com which does the same thing: check amazon prices daily and email you if the price on your items drop.

Amazon already changed their price policy. They remove the price gap compensation from their policy document.
Here you can find the amazon discount deals finder: http://www.tophotdeal.com

Another option is zoolert.com
They have RSS, email and custom web page based free alerts for amazon.com price drops.
It checks every ~10 mins for you.
Why do the heavy lifting when its done for you!

I use a cool little app under http://www.amawaitin.com to track prices at Amazon (atleast for items I don’t need immediately). Once a price drops below “my limit” I receive a notification by email or tweet.
