Tips: New system tags in del.icio.us for fetching filetypes and podcast
From the del.icio.us blog, Joshua mentioned he has done a new feature called system tags which add support for finding medias:
There are couple of extra tags you can use now:
The tag "system:media:audio" includes
- *.mp3 tagged as "system:filetype:mp3"
- *.wav tagged as "system:filetype:wav"
The tag "system:media:video" includes
- *.mpg tagged as "system:filetype:mpg"
- *.mpeg tagged as "system:filetype:mpeg"
- *.avi tagged as "system:filetype:avi"
- *.wmv tagged as "system:filetype:wmv"
- *.mov tagged as "system:filetype:mov"
The tag "system:media:image" includes:
- *.jpg as "system:filetype:jpg"
- *.jpeg as "system:filetype:jpeg"
- *.gif as "system:filetype:gif"
- *.png as "system:filetype:png"
The tag "system:media:document" includes:
- *.pdf as "system:filetype:pdf"
- *.doc as "system:filetype:doc"
You can also getting RSS feed for podcast etc if you go to http://del.icio.us/rss/tag/system:media:audio for example. Pretty useful feature!

Anyone have any tips on how to best use del.icio.us to help promote one's websites? I have recently signed up, added a few friends, and am trying to
add interesting, useful sites before I add my own (which I'll do when I'm finished with my first set of tutorials). My sense is that it may be wise to
make some of the more “popular” del.icio.us members my friends, but for now I've stuck solely to people who are related to my industry. What do other
people think? Any good tips out there?
All the best,
