I have often wondered why WMP has such bizarre and scattered hotkeys.
Sh+Ctl+P, then Sh+Ctl+F for forward and playback? I can understand trying to keep the keys similar to the wording of the command ( S+C+P for playback, etc) but Sh+Cyl+B for rewind? People have to jump all over the place for no real reason.
I think they should take a cue from Winamp and place them all in a row or bunch that are related by relative position instead of letter association. Winamp has a lovely set of default hotkeys, and their global hotkeys are very simple and configurable as well.

I agree, it is a bit bizarre. I think the developer has not thought too much on the shortcut usabilities at all. That’s why I think one should print out this shortcuts sheet and stick in front of the TV or monitor
