Photo Gallery of Getting Things Done with Index Cards

jazzmasterson has developed a set of good photos at his flickr. He showed his “Next Action Board”, his reference filing, his work area, his project board – all powered by Index Card.

Here is the his comment on his next action board:

These are the next possible actions I can take to move forwards towards a goal. Some of them are the cards from project plans, others are standalone. Project actions have the name of the project written in the upper right hand corner of the card, if I was that together when I wrote the card.

Very nice, jazzmasterson. Kudos to you.

This system reminds me a lot of PMI (Project Management). A lot of times we start out using yellow sticky notes, then reorganize them from high order management items to lowest order tasks, before the whole thing is expanded into a software program.

It is pretty similar indeed. I used to cut up all those print out and stick them up onto the drawing board to prioritize and link tasks.

It is much faster and more visual than doing it in computer some time.
