Brad Isaac at Achieve-IT has noted down a technique called Caffeine Nap from the Field and Stream magazine. The technique involves with drinking a caffeine drink (such as coffee) and take a 15 minutes nap immediately. The sleep researchers at the Loughborough University in Britain tested couple of different techniques to stay awake in driving and found out this is the best technique among other tricks such as blasting the radio or roll down the windows:

… The Caffeine Nap is simple. You drink a cup of coffee and immediately take a 15 minute nap. Researchers found coffee helps clear your system of adenosine, a chemical which makes you sleepy. So in testing, the combination of a cup of coffee with an immediate nap chaser provided the most alertness for the longest period of time…

As I mentioned on the other sleep post, how to find the exact 15 minutes from falling into sleep into waking up. This is probably still my question on research.
