There is a service called Free Mobile SMS which provides a free text message service to any US mobile number. It looks like a real-time delivery without any registration so it should be great for keeping in touch with family and friends without worrying about costly messaging bills.

I’m wondering what ‘free’ means…. free for the sender? there are other sites that offer this – almost every cell service provider’s home page let’s you sent SMS’s … if it’s truly free for the *receiver*, that’d be something. Anyone knows?
