Microsoft has teamed with Traffic.com to add live traffic patterns to their maps offering. This means, at least for places that Microsoft Maps covers, you now can see how to get somewhere, and the traffic associated with going that way. Here are the three new features they offered:

• Traffic- Map real-time traffic and incidents for many major areas.
• Collections – Keep lists of important Windows Live Local locations, order them any way you want, and share them with your friends.
• Favorites- Save collections to your Windows Live Favorites.

For me, it’s all about the traffic integration, but the Collections feature might prove useful, in that it helps you annotate your maps and share them. A small business owner could use this feature to great effect.
