Now days I see the important of dropping things down. I have flow of ideas suddenly, and I need to ready myself so if it happens, I can drop down the ideas. I started carrying a pad of paper and a pen in my car because allot of my inspiration came to me when I was stuck in traffic or listening to new music on the road.
I also find that it really helps to remember all the small details when I not only right down the key elements of my idea but also draw it down with the emphasis on the key points. This is especially true as of late since I’m redecorating my house and get allot of ideas on what goes where and how.

Carrying some recording device with you has more advantages. You can also keep your consciousness free from stuff that you otherwise had to “keep active”.
