30 Internet Things

PCWorld Magazine has a post called “30 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do on the Internet.” I wonder if Senator Stevens knows about this (U.S.-based joke about a Senator from Alaska telling people the internet is basically a series of tubes).

This is a great list (if you skip past page 1’s intro) for reminding you of some of the things that are out there. Here are a few that caught my eye:

  • Compare cell plans with WireFly.
  • Hire a Nag at RemindMe.com
  • Clean out your garage with SwapThing.com
  • Hire a Virtual Office Manager

The list goes on and on, and you should check it out for the “Oh yeah, I remember that!” factor alone.

Just a note on Wirefly, Consumer warrior, Clark Howard, no longer recommends using Wirefly. Just follow PCWorld’s advice to compare plans, but don’t expect the phone rebates to come through…
